How to Get Toothpaste Stains Out of Your Cocktail Dress Fast

Toothpaste stains on a cocktail dress can be so discouraging. Luckily, with a few household items and some careful scrubbing, it's possible to remove toothpaste stains from your favorite dresses without too much trouble.

What You'll Need

• Pencil eraser
• Soft-bristle brush
• Mild liquid detergent
• White vinegar
• Clean, damp cloth
• The dress

Instructions

1. Use eraser to gently rub off as much of the toothpaste stain as possible. Be sure not to rub too hard as this might damage fabric.
2. Once you've removed as much of the toothpaste as possible, make a paste using one teaspoon of mild liquid detergent and three teaspoons of white vinegar. Spread the paste onto stain and let it sit for five to seven minutes.
3. Scrub the paste gently with a soft-bristled brush. You should see the toothpaste stain beginning to fade.
4. Rinse the area with a clean, damp cloth. Pat dry with a second cloth.
5. Let the area air dry before wearing dress again.
