Method 1: Use Soap and Water

The simplest method to get a grass stain out is to use soap and water. Rub a bar of soap onto the stain and soak it in cold water for up to 30 minutes. This could help to break down the stain and make it easier to get rid of. Afterwards, rinse out the item under running water, then rub laundry detergent into the stain area. Finish by washing item in washing machine on a normal cycle.

Method 2: Use Vinegar and Water

Mix a solution of 1 part white vinegar to 2 parts water and either drip it directly onto the stain or soak the item in the solution for up to 30 minutes. Afterwards, rinse out the item under running water, then rub laundry detergent into the stain area. Finish by washing the item in the washing machine on a normal cycle.

Method 3: Use Baking Soda

Another solution for getting a grass stain out is to combine 1 part baking soda with 2 parts water in a bowl and mix it until the baking soda has dissolved. Rub the paste gently into the stained area, and let it sit for a few minutes before rinsing it off. Afterwards, rub laundry detergent into the stain area and finish by washing the item in the washing machine on a normal cycle.

Method 4: Use Detergent and Bleach

For tougher stains, you might want to pre-treat the area with a detergent and bleach solution. Combine 1 part detergent, 1 part bleach and 5 parts water in a bowl and mix until it’s well combined. Rub solution into the stained area and let it sit for up to 15 minutes. Then, rinse it out under running water, rub laundry detergent into the stain area and finish by washing the item in the washing machine on a normal cycle.

Conclusion

As you can see, there are a few different methods you can use to get rid of grass stains. However, if all else fails, then you could use a specialist cleaning product that’s designed for tough grass stains. Whichever method you use, make sure to take care of your clothing and follow the instructions on the packaging.
