  -  Scrape away any excess ketchup from the fabric with a spoon or butter knife. 
-  Soak the stained area in cold water for 15 minutes. 
-  Mix a solution of one part dish soap and one part cool water. 
-  Dab gently at stained area with a clean cloth soaked in the soapy water. 
-  Rinse the stained area with cool water and then dab it with a clean cloth to remove any additional residue.
