Barbecue sauce can be a nightmare when it comes to getting out of clothing. With its sugary and sticky nature, it can leave behind nasty marks that might seem impossible to remove. But you can get rid of BBQ sauce stains from your t-shirts easily and quickly with just a few household items. Here’s what you need to do:

  • Create a mixture of warm water, liquid detergent, and white vinegar (equal parts of each).
  • Soak the stained area of the t-shirt in the solution for 15-20 minutes.
  • Once the stain is gone, let the t-shirt soak for another 15 minutes in plain cold water.
  • If the stain persists, repeat the above steps, but this time add a few drops of ammonia in the mix.
  • Gently rub the stained area with a brush to help get rid of stain.
  • Rinse in cold water and air or machine dry.

It’s important to note that BBQ sauce is made from oil and sugar, so it’s best to treat the stain as soon as possible after it occurs. If the stain is allowed to set in, it will be much harder to remove. Additionally, be sure to always test any cleaning solution on a small, inconspicuous area of the stain before treating the entire area, to make sure that there is no damage caused by the cleaning solution.

Now you know how to get those pesky BBQ sauce stains out of your t-shirts! With these simple tips, you’ll never have to worry about ruining your favorite piece of clothing again.
